I loved the vibrant atmosphere at S.K. House 1. The swimming pool stood out—big, clean, and perfect for cooling off after a hot day exploring Chiang Mai. The staff here made us feel welcomed right from the start, offering helpful local tips and easy access to organized trips. The room was basic but clean, and the bed was cozy enough for a good night’s sleep. However, the shower was less than ideal. the water had some rust and drainage issues. Also, while it’s a good value for the price, there were a few cockroaches spotted in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting. Still, it’s in an incredible location near cafes and bars, enhancing the overall stay.

I absolutely loved the relaxing pool that truly felt like a sanctuary after a hot day out. The tranquil garden area, filled with beautiful Thai decor, provided such a peaceful atmosphere for unwinding. I was also impressed by the complementary coffee available 24/7, which kept me energized throughout my stay!

The pool water had a green tint, strongly smelling of chemicals, leaving hair sticky and skin dry. Mold found on the bathroom ceiling, a non-functioning flush, ineffective shower drainage, and a poor Wi-Fi connection that only worked in the lobby made for a less than comfortable stay.

The staff were notably friendly, always eager to help with tour recommendations and ensuring guests felt welcomed. However, the room experience was less than ideal, as the shower had rust in the water, and maintenance issues arose with leaky roofs and insect encounters. Dining options in nearby local restaurants offered a delightful range of regional flavors, which was a definite highlight of the stay.

I enjoyed my stay, especially the refreshing pool after a long day and the cozy balcony for evening relaxation. However, the room was quite basic and the air conditioning was an extra cost.
